I packed my camera for a week-long road trip from Los Angeles to Palm Springs and back again. Though the overall goal was to relax, in Palm Springs I attended Designer Vaca, a small all-women design conference held at the Ace Hotel every year. My favorite memory was watching the sun set among the field of windmills with my friends. There is nothing like that California desert light at sundown.
